Kevin Renfro

Kevin received his BA degree from the University of Louisville in 1978 and juris doctorate degree from the University of Louisville School of Law in 1981. Kevin is a member of the American Association for Justice (AAJ), and was named one of their top 100 Trial Lawyers. He is a frequent lecturer to other attorneys, paralegals and insurance claims representatives on topics of personal injury law in both Kentucky and Indiana, including automobile tort and workers compensation. Gary Becker

Gary Becker – Of Counsel to the Becker Law OfficeGary Becker was the founding partner of the Becker Law Office.  He received his BA Degree and his JD degree from Indiana University.  He was actively involved in the practice of law for more than 40 years, and is now fully retired from the practice of law and has no ownership or managerial role.

During his career, he served as a speaker at the University of Louisville Law School along with serving as a Judge for their Moot Court Competitions. Also, he has given presentations at continuing education programs sponsored by the Kentucky Bar Association; Kentucky Academy of Trial Lawyers; Indiana Bar Association; and Indiana Trial Lawyers Association, as well as to various business and civic groups.

He served his community through his involvement as a permanent deacon at the Church of the Epiphany and has previously served as a member of the board of the Kordes Retreat Center and the House of Ruth. He also previously served as a member of the Women's Commission of the Archdiocese of Louisville; as a member of the Archdiocesan Vocation Council; as a member of the Board of Directors of Wayside Christian Mission; and as a member of the Board of Interfaith Caregivers of Kentuckiana, Inc.

 


Deno C. Capello, Jr.

Deno Capello – Attorney at Law -  the Becker Law OfficeDean Capello was born and raised in southeastern Ohio but has been a resident of Kentucky since relocating to Lexington in 1984. He attended The Ohio State University and graduated with Bachelor's of Arts degrees in Economics (1983) and Political Science (1984). He completed his legal education with receipt of a juris doctor degree from the University of Kentucky College of Law in 1987 and was licensed to practice law in Kentucky in the same year.

Upon being licensed by the Kentucky Bar Association, he joined the Lexington based firm for which he had served as law clerk throughout law school, and eventually rose to partner. His practice was primarily Plaintiff's oriented, with a focus on litigation of tort and discrimination claims. He was recruited to the Becker Law Office in the fall of 2001 and there he continued his focus upon Plaintiff’s personal injury claims. Dean's practice remains oriented to personal injury claims with specific focus on automobile tort, medical malpractice, products liability and other complex litigation.

Member of the Million Dollar Advocates ForumDean is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, a national organization of attorneys who have obtained verdicts or settlements for clients in excess of one million dollars. His current bar memberships include the Kentucky Bar Association, the Fayette County Bar Association, the Louisville Bar Association, the American Association for Justice (AAJ) and the Kentucky Justice Association. He is licensed to practice in all courts in the Commonwealth of Kentucky, in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky and the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.

Dean is also active in civic and community activities. He is a past Board member and President of the Volunteer Center of the Bluegrass and has been a regular contributor of pro bono legal services through the Fayette County Bar Association's Pro Bono Office. Presently he is Vice President of the Board of Directors for Community Montessori School in Lexington, Kentucky.

Dean and his wife Sharon are the proud parents of Joe, born Thanksgiving Day 1998, and Caroline, born in the early spring of 2000. With two young children his free time is limited; however when he’s not assisting the coaches of Joe’s various youth sports teams, at an ice rink with Caroline’s figure skating club, or working on a project at the children’s school, Dean thoroughly enjoys traveling with his family and playing golf whenever he has the opportunity.


John L. Page

Associate

John L. Page was born and raised in Tompkinsville, a small town in south central Kentucky close to the border of Tennessee.  John graduated summa cum laude from Western Kentucky University with a Bachelor Degree in Computer Information Systems.  He chose to go into the field of law “for the opportunity to work in the best legal system in the world,” and is the first in his family to pursue a legal career. It is the challenge of helping people, working with different clients and handling a variety of cases that led him to law. He earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Kentucky College of Law in 2008 and was admitted to the Bar in 2009.  
 
During his legal studies, John was a member the Rutledge Writing Club and he was honored for the Best Appellant Oral Argument in his first year of law school.  He was also a member Moot Court and he was called upon to judge second year students competing for membership.  While in law school, John was on the staff of the Journal for Natural Resources and Environmental Law where he did research, editing and proofreading.
 
Following law school, John clerked for the Honorable Paul F. Isaacs, Judge of the 14th Judicial Circuit.  In his position, he drafted opinions on a variety of motions submitted to the Court, including summary judgment and discovery motions.  He earned the offer to serve as clerk based on his work as a summer intern the previous summer.
 
John is married, and in his off hours he enjoys hunting, reading, playing golf and Pittsburgh Steelers football.
