News Release: Becker Law Office Supports 2010 Hoop It Up Louisville
Becker Law Office Sponsored “Hoop It Up” Tournament June 26-27

LOUISVILLE, KY – The national Hoop It Up 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament came to Louisville this past weekend, June 26 and 27, with primary sponsorship by WDRB Fox41 and Becker Law Office. There were 110 Teams registered, a substantial increase from the 2009 Tournament when 85 teams competed. Winners will go on to compete in regional tournaments, which will culminate in a national tournament to name one winner in each category.
Becker Law Office entered 4 teams, all of whom were organized and coached through The Village of Louisville under the leadership of Mozziz “Coach Mo” DeWalt (who also competed in the television program “The Biggest Loser” in the fall of 2009).
The tournament was promoted on Fox41-TV through the month of June and all teams signed up online at the national Hoop It Up Tournament site. All teams played three 20-minute games on Saturday to try to advance to the final eliminations on Sunday.

Coach Mo has mentored young people for many years through the organization he founded, The Village of Louisville. Without permanent facilities or permanent funding, Coach Mo has encouraged and trained several hundred teens, taking them from unsuccessful situations to become high school graduates and college graduates. His program is a combination of sports training, mental discipline and one-on-one attention for each child – with the goal of helping them stay out of gangs, away from additive behaviors and on the road of hope for their futures.
