Charles E. Fell, Jr.

Charlie Fell has spent over 35 years advocating for clients in civil and criminal litigation across the Commonwealth of Kentucky —from the hollows of Eastern Kentucky, the cities of Lexington and Louisville, and to the farmlands of Western Kentucky. His engineering background and ability to navigate complex litigation have helped him achieve hundreds of millions of dollars in verdicts and settlements for injured individuals.

Charlie has participated in jury trials for a single injured person, as well as, mass tort litigation involving 100s of injured individuals in Eastern Kentucky, Fayette County, Jefferson County, Western Kentucky, United States District Court, Western District of Kentucky, United States District Court, Eastern District of Kentucky, Gadsden, Alabama

Charlie was born and raised in Shively, Kentucky, attended Louisville Saint Xavier High School (1983) and obtained a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Louisville, J.B. Speed School of Engineering (1987). Charlie received his Juris Doctor from Northern Kentucky University, Salmon P. Chase College of Law in 1991, graduating cum laude where he served as a member of the Northern Kentucky Law Review.

Prior to graduating from law school, Charlie worked for several large corporations including, Air Products and Chemicals, Dow Corning, and Ashland Chemicals. Charlie uses his past knowledge along with his engineering background to better understand the action or inactions of large corporation defendants. Charlie is also a Guest Lecturer at the JB Speed School of Engineering, University of Louisville.

Charlie and his family have been longstanding members of Holy Spirit Catholic Church, where he and his wife have contributed their time through committee service, coaching youth soccer and basketball teams, and ushering at Sunday Mass. Outside the church, Charlie is an active participant in a local multi-sport club and is dedicated to supporting charitable races at both the local and national level through participation and volunteerism.

Charlie was raised in Southwest Louisville, where his parents instilled in him a strong sense of civic responsibility and a dedicated work ethic. He carried those values into his academic pursuits, earning a degree in engineering. Despite the opportunities of a lucrative engineering career, Charlie chose a different path—devoting his professional life to helping others navigate difficult circumstances and pursue justice when they need it most. He is committed to guiding clients with integrity, compassion, and a focus on achieving the dignity and results they deserve.
